Counting in Creole is the same as in French. In the previous lesson you learned how to count from 20 to 29. For example, you know that vin + kat = 24. This rule is the for numbers 30-69. On the other hand, the rule changes once you reach number 70.

70 becomes the famous math equation of the Creole counting system. In order to make 70, you must take 60 + 10, in Creole this would be swasant-dis. You would continue to use the tens until you reach the number 80 or katre-vin (4 x 20) in Creole. 80-89 follow the same rule as numbers 20-69. The rule reverts when using numbers 90-99. For example, the number 95 in Creole is katre-vin-kinz (4 x 20 + 15).

It might take some time getting used to but with practice these numbers are going to follow of your tongue easily.
