Éducation

C.R.E.O.L.E., Inc. has been a pioneer in providing educational opportunities for young students and adult learners interested in learning more about and immersing themselves in Louisiana Créole language, culture, and traditions.

In particular, C.R.E.O.L.E., Inc. has been instrumental to the development of educational materials in and about the Louisiana Creole language, also known as Kouri-Vini. Most recently, current President Herbert Wiltz was a co-author of the groundbreaking book Ti Liv Kréyòl: A Learner's Guide to Louisiana Creole.

Using these resources and other materials developed by our team, C.R.E.O.L.E., Inc. offers classes and workshops for the next generation to learn and improve their Louisiana Creole and French. On a monthly basis, we offer a Creole table with the NUNU Collective in Arnaudville La Tab Kreyol. Please contact our President Herbert Wiltz at hjwiltz@gmail.com to be included in the Zoom invitation.

At its frequent yearly events, C.R.E.O.L.E., Inc likewise provides educational panels and workshops on an array of topics relevant to the Louisiana Creole community. Learn more about our events here.

Finally, C.R.E.O.L.E., Inc. provides intercultural educational opportunities as well, having collaborated in several international exchanges over its history.
