Greetings

Creole English
Komen ça va? How is it going?
Komen ç’apé kouri? How is it going?
Komen to yê? How are you?
Ki ça di? What’s up?
Hé laba! Hey there!
Bonswa Good evening
Bon matin Good morning
Bonnwi Good night

Cultural Note:

In Louisiana, Bonswa can be used in replace of Bonnwi and can mean Good night. However, Bonnwi is usually within the same household. Either way, you will always be correct with either usage.

For this course, we are going to use Bonswa and Bonnwi as they appear in the table.
